PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape guide which simplifies its manufacturing process by combining metal and resin, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A square-shape material 7 is formed by using sheet metal in a surface state of foil 6 or a surface state corresponding to foil as material, and a cylinder having a fine gap 14 at both edges is allowed to abut on an outer cylinder 12. The outer cylinder is inserted into a cavity of a metallic mold 21, and a high pressure resin is injected from the rear face 15 of the outer cylinder. The gaps on the surface of the outer cylinder is filled with resin at the same time to obtain a tape guide provided with desired roughness and stiffness of surface by a process for forming an inner cylinder 17 on the rear face of the outer cylinder.
