PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system capable of being operated by one hand when a person of an assistant seat operates by surely invalidating input operation of a driver during automobile travelling. SOLUTION: The car navigation system includes a camera 12 provided so as to photograph an image determining whether the operator is a driving seat seated person or an assistant seat seated person, a means for determining whether any one of the seated persons of a driving seat 121 and an assistant seat 122 operates with an operation panel 11 on the basis of a photographed image of the camera 12, a state detector 25 for detecting a travelling state of an automobile, and a means for invalidating the operation while the automobile is travelling when the operation panel 11 is operated and when it is determined that the operation is performed by the seated person of the driving seat 121.
