<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting device for improving luminance and reducing luminance fluctuation. <P>SOLUTION: A through-hole 11a is formed at the center of the double-sided printed wiring board 11 of an SMD type LED 15. Wiring patterns 2 and 3 connected from connection electrodes 2a and 3a on the upper surface of the board 11 to terminal electrodes 2b and 3b on the lower surface are formed. A blue LED element 4 is fixed inside the through-hole 11a through a white resin 7 with an electrode surface 4a facing up, and the electrode of the LED element 4 and the connection electrodes 2a and 3a are connected by a bonding wire 5. Then, resin 6 containing a phosphor covers a light exit surface which is the electrode surface 4a of the LED element 4. The white resin 7 of a high diffused reflection effect covers the periphery of the LED element 4 except the light exit surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
