The headlight has a reflector to reflect a part of the light delivered by an illuminant. A screen (5) is provided to cover housing or parts of the headlight. The reflector or screen has a connecting area (6) consisting of a transparent material, where opaque coating (5a) is applied in the area on the back of the screen which is connected with the housing. The screen runs parallel to a neighboring section of a cover plate within the area. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a screen or a screen-reflector combination.
