FINE PARTICLE OF ALGINATE GEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FINE CAPSULE OF THE GEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fine gel particles and fine capsules compatible with water and having a submicron diameter to enable the delivery of medicines, or the like, to the narrow part of a capillary vessel. SOLUTION: The method for producing fine particles of an alginate gel contains a step to drop an aqueous solution containing an alginic acid salt to a non-aqueous organic solvent and forming a W/O-type emulsion by an electrocapillary emulsifying method and a step to gelatinize the W/O-type emulsion with a polyvalent metal salt compound dissolved in the non-aqueous organic solvent. The method for producing fine capsules comprises the treatment of the fine gel particles obtained by the above method with a cationic polymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
