PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of maximizing its performance in consideration of the inner specification of a memory card.

SOLUTION: A general purpose memory card control program 121 with a control procedure as the standard specification of the memory card 2 regulated therein is applied in a memory card control part 12 in an initial state. A plurality of memory card programs 121 of an individual specification with the control procedure, which is suitable for the characteristic of the specified memory card 2, regulated therein are held in a profile information holding part 14. When the mounting of the memory card 2 is detected, a CPU 11 reads a profile ID 231 in a flash memory 23 and selects the memory card control program corresponding to the ID 231 from the profile information holding part 14. Then the CPU 11 instructs the application of the memory card control program 121 to the memory card control part 12.
