PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for relatively simply manufacturing an electrode for a discharge lamp of which the dark part is short and which can prevent an occurrence of a reduction of a strength caused by welding and increase of a power consumption amount in a manufacturing method of the electrode for the discharge lamp such as a cold cathode fluorescent lamp used as a backlight of a liquid crystal display device (LCD) of a personal computer, etc. SOLUTION: The electrode for the discharge lamp in which an electrode part is disposed in a glass bulb by injection-molding material powder in a prescribed shape and sintering it in a non-oxidized atmosphere, and a sealing wire part of which one end is connected to the electrode part and the other end is connected to an external lead wire, are integrally molded.
