In a mortice lock comprising two plates 1, 2 between which is mounted the whole of the mechanism for actuating the dead-bolt 3 the entry for the key being provided on a part 7 fitted into the plates in such a manner as to be capable of being replaced by others having keyholes for different keys, the contour of the fitted part 7 corresponds substantially with the contour of a part of a lock cylinder 14 in such a manner that after removal of the fitted part 7, the lock cylinder 14 can be introduced transversely into the plates and be secured in these, the lock being then actuated by the lock cylinder. As shown the part 7 consists of two plates 8, 8 joined together by a bar 9 and each is provided with a key hole for a key 6. The part 7 or the cylinder lock 14 is secured by a screw 11.</p> |
