The connection assembly for connection to the mouth of a flexible container (2), such as a bag, comprises; an inner ring (4) having an inner flange (5) around its external diameter; an outer ring (6) having a recess (7) formed around its inner diameter sized to engage the inner flange (5); with the inner (4) and outer (6) rings being adapted to interengage to trap the mouth of the flexible container (2). Preferably the outer ring (6) has an outer flange (8) around its external diameter, and a sealing ring (12) sized to abut the outer flange (8). Additionally a clamping ring may be used for clamping the outer ring (6) and the sealing ring (12) together. To further improve the seal between inner and outer rings a rubber O ring (20) may be used.
