PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focusing device with which focusing is quickly conducted under an instantaneous shutter chance while reducing the weight and the size of the device. SOLUTION: The focusing device includes a focusing lens and an imaging element. The focusing device is provided with: a light incident section into which light beams from an object to be photographed are made incident while relating to the lens body position of a focusing lens; a deviation amount obtaining section which obtains the amount of deviation among a plurality of images generated on the image pickup element by the light beams related to a different lens body position among the light beams; and a computing section which computes a focus distance based on the amount of deviation obtained by the deviation amount obtaining section.
