<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective color liquid crystal display device in which coloring due to light interference is not caused in whatever lighting surroundings, indoor or outdoor, and which carries out a bright and high contrast image display. <P>SOLUTION: The color liquid crystal display device is constructed by dispersing and disposing minute reflection bodies 17 with light scattering and reflecting functions under a transflective transparent pixel electrodes 16, wherein shapes of the reflection bodies 17 seen from the upper side are nearly circular, polygonal, rod shaped, string shaped or similar to these shapes, an arrangement pattern of the reflection bodies 17 is made to be a phase separation pattern manifested in a polymer block copolymerization or the like, the reflection bodies 17 are made to be reflective display parts and the other regions are made to be transmissive display parts. Thereby an area ratio of the reflective display part to the transmissive display part in one pixel is controlled highly accurately and arbitrarily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
