PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-performance catalytic cracking additive enabling the reduction of a sulfur content in obtained gasoline without increasing hydrogen and coke formation, and a catalytic cracking method for producing a low-sulfur gasoline using the additive. SOLUTION: In the fluidized catalytic cracking additive for producing the low-sulfur gasoline provided, a fluid particle where beta zeolite is dispersed in an inorganic oxide matrix is used as a carrier, and a nickel oxide is supported on the carrier in an amount of 5-20% by mass to the carrier in terms of the oxide.
