PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To markedly reduce or to perfectly eliminate the dissolution irregularity of a chemical agent in a chemical agent adding device constituted so as to float a chemical agent component on the surface of the water to add the same to water. SOLUTION: The chemical agent adding device 1 is constituted so that a chemical agent housing part 3 for housing the chemical agent 5 and a buoyancy material housing part 4 housing a buoyancy material 6 are formed between one half side 2a and other half side 2b both of which are formed by half folding back a sheet 2 and a large number of water holes 7 are bored in the chemical agent housing part 3 at constant intervals, for example, in the longitudinal direction thereof.
