PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preparing carbonated (aerated) water, with which the aerated water of high concentration can be prepared by dissolving carbon dioxide efficiently in water or warm water and which can be used economically by hindering carbon dioxide efficiently from being discharged in vain. SOLUTION: This apparatus for preparing the aerated water is composed of: a tank; a water supplying line for supplying water or warm water to the tank through a pump or in a pressurized state; a mixer arranged on the downstream side of the pump or at another position on the water supplying line for dissolving carbon dioxide in water or warm water; a carbon dioxide supplying unit for supplying carbon dioxide to the mixer; and a pressure regulating valve arranged on the downstream side of the mixer on the water supplying line for keeping a portion between the mixer and the pump at a constant pressure.
