PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a karaoke portable terminal carried in a karaoke room to have LAN communication with a karaoke playing machine in the karaoke room as a communication partner. SOLUTION: A karaoke collective system is installed in a karaoke collective bar comprising a plurality of karaoke rooms, and includes karaoke playing machines installed in the respective karaoke rooms, and karaoke portable terminals and charging cradles; and each karaoke portable terminal is equipped with a LAN communication means and a means of sending a music selection remote control signal that the karaoke playing machine can receive and a charging cradle installed in each karaoke room is equipped with a means of charging the internal battery of the karaoke portable terminal and a cradle memory which stores the karaoke room ID of the karaoke playing machine installed in the room. The karaoke portable terminal reads the karaoke room ID out of the cradle memory and communicates with the karaoke playing machine through a LAN based upon the karaoke room ID.
