PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage rotary compressor capable of increasing the amount of an oil sealed in a closed container and efficiently separating the oil in the closed container. SOLUTION: An electric element 5 and a rotary compressing element 6 are vertically disposed in the closed container. The rotary compressing element 6 is disposed so that a low-stage side rotary compressing element 9 is positioned on the upper side and a high-stage side rotary compressing element 11 is positioned on the lower side. An upper support member 12 is installed on the low-stage side rotary compressing element 9 and a roughly cup-shaped cover material 16 is fitted to the upper support member to close the opening face of a muffling chamber 12b formed in the upper support member 12. The roughly cup-shaped cover material 16 is formed to be high so that its upper end is positioned at or near the upper end of a bearing part 12a formed on the upper support member 12, and a delivery hole 16b for discharging a refrigerant gas is formed at the upper end face of the cover material 16 near the outer diameter part of the bearing part 12a.
