PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize an inclination adjustment means in which a space between end surfaces of an arc-like wedge piece for receiving action of a spring means is free from a support means in order to facilitate installation of the spring means in an adjustment fitting for a back rest. SOLUTION: Each one of stopper surface 31.1 formed on these arc-like wedge pieces 13 is provided on a range of the other end surface 13.4 of the arc-like wedge piece 13 and a radial stopper surface 30.1 of an eccentric ring 12 corresponds to the stopper surface 31.1. These corresponding stopper surfaces 31.1, 30.1 are left from each other before starting of adjustment in an adjustment direction and at starting of adjustment, carrying means 17, 18 are acted in response to the adjustment direction of one arc-like wedge piece of both arc-like wedge pieces 13. Accordingly, the stopper surface 31.1 of the arc-like wedge piece 13 receiving the action and the corresponding stopper surface 30.1 of the eccentric ring 12 are abutted on each other to carry the eccentric ring 12.
