PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dephosphorization method for surely removing phosphorus contained in waste water or sewage water by simple control using blast furnace slag. SOLUTION: Phosphorus is removed from water by bringing treating object water containing phosphorus into contact with crystalline blast furnace slag. Phosphorus can also be stably removed by circulating and mixing a part of treated water brought into contact with the crystalline blast furnace slag with treating object water containing phosphorus, and by bringing the treating object water containing phosphorus after being mixed into contact with the crystalline blast furnace slag.
