<p>The invention relates to a portable fire-extinguisher. The inventive extinguisher consists of: a closed tank (2); a pick-up tube assembly (3, 9) having an upper part (9a) which is inserted into an opening in the upper wall (2a) of the tank and which is provided with an internal thread (10) and an external support means (11); and a sprinkler head (4, 23) comprising a lower cylindrical part which is provided with an external thread (24) and a flange ring (25). According to the invention, the flange ring co-operates with the support means (11) such that the part of the upper wall (2a) of the tank (2) that is at the periphery of the opening is clamped firmly and hermetically between said components when the external thread (24) is screwed fully into the internal thread (10). In addition, a tamper-proof ring (38), which is disposed around the lower part of the sprinkler head (4), indicates if said head has been subjected to at least a partial unscrewing operation.</p> |
