<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding roller of a rotary press, preventing stains on the printing surface, and hardly causing slippage between the folding rollers and the printing paper to surely draw the printing paper between the folding rollers and feed out the same. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of folding rollers are provided in a folding machine of the rotary press, thereby making a fold in the printing paper delivered from a folding drum and simultaneously folding the paper in two. The folding rollers include at least one projection 4 projected from the peripheral surface 1a of the folding roller 1 and extended in the same direction of the axis C of the folding roller 1 to apply pressing force to a part for forming a fold of the printing paper P and a first anti-slip part 2 formed on the peripheral surface 1a outside of the projection 4 and coming into contact with the surface of the printing paper P to produce contact resistance required for feeding out the printing paper P between the paired folding rollers 1, 1.
