<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a void type inkjet recording sheet which is excellent in discoloration/color fading resistance, is free from cracks, and has a favorable ink absorbency, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording sheet comprises a surface layer and a porous ink absorbing layer provided on a supporting body. The surface layer contains an organic particle A or an organic particle B, and a crosslinked acetoacetyl-denatured polyvinylalcohol. The organic particle A is dissolved or swollen with a specified water-soluble organic solvent, is not dissolved with water, has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 70°C or higher, and has an average particle size of 100 nm or lower.
