<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display picture for effective presentation. <P>SOLUTION: A picture is displayed on the screen of a personal computer 101, and the picture information and indication information for indicating an area (specific area) which has to be displayed on the screen 103 in this display screen are sent to a liquid crystal projector 102. The projector 102 stores this picture information in an incorporated storage means and reads the specific area indicated by the indication information to display on the screen 103. On the side of a personal computer 101, this specific area can be changed by a mouth e.g. Thus, a desired area in a prescribed picture is selected and displayed on the screen 103. For another example, a plurality of pictures are displayed on the screen of the personal computer 101 and one of them is selected and displayed on the screen.
