<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing when a sheet of paper which is set in a paper feeding section is not suitable for the printing. <P>SOLUTION: This printing controlling device is equipped with a recognizing means which recognizes the state, the attribute and the information of a sheet of paper for printing, and a decision means which decides whether the printing action is correct or not from the information obtained by the recognizing means.
