<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unique system and method capable of navigating smoothly, elegantly and easily an optional type content allowing view by a portable device. <P>SOLUTION: The large content is navigated while keeping a view field and a context thereabout. A key base is formed to allow browsing through zoom-in/zoom-out for the content, using one or a plurality of key pads. In one embodiment, the content is segmented into an optional number of subsectors/segments to make each segment cope with a specified numeral key, and a detail part is thereby viewed widely or narrowly in a specified portion of the content, by pushing or tapping the numeral key corresponding thereto. Further, when viewing the first portion of the content, a content near thereto is glanced by pushing the each key to be held.
