<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material which exhibits a high coating stability as a pot life of a coating liquid is long, has no crack on the surface of an ink receiving layer, has excellent glossiness of the surface, and has both high absorbing properties and color developing properties of a pigment ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording material having the ink receiving layer comprising at least an alumina and/or an alumina hydrate with a mean secondary particle diameter of 600 nm or less, a hydrophilic binder and a crosslinking agent, the ink receiving layer comprises furthermore a water-soluble metal lactate.
