<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transition from a state where an authentication print reception screen is displayed at the receiving time of authentication print data to a control of other than authentication print without imposing a load on the user. <P>SOLUTION: At the receiving time of authentication print data added with authentication information, a printer 30 displays an authentication print reception screen for receiving authentication print of authentication print data at the LCD display section of an operating panel section 33. A key input judging section 371 at the time of authentication judges whether a key input from the operating panel section 33 under the state displaying authentication print reception screen is the key input for authentication print or not.
