<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform pressure control of a fuel electrode with high accuracy by promptly reducing an excessive amount of the pressure when the pressure becomes excessive when the fuel electrode pressure is raised so that pressure of the fuel electrode stably follows a target pressure. <P>SOLUTION: When a system controller 48 makes the fuel electrode pressure of the fuel cell follow the target pressure, it controls not only a hydrogen supply valve 24 but also opening of a purge valve 31 or a cutoff valve 33. Specifically, a pressure excessive amount judging means 54 is provided in the system controller 48 for judging whether the pressure becomes excessive when the fuel electrode pressure is raised. When the pressure is excessive, the opening of the hydrogen supply valve 24 is made small and the opening of the purge valve 31 or the cutoff valve 33 is enlarged according to the excessive amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
