<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card capable of ensuring security by preventing biological information from being unauthorizingly rewritten and enabling a user to recognize falsification, by detecting the falsification by authentication even if the biological information is rewritten, when the biological information used for authentication processing of a proxiy who is permitted to use an IC card by an IC card owner is stored in a storage means of the IC card. <P>SOLUTION: When the proxy of the owner uses the IC card, the IC card can authenticate the proxy by using the biological information of the proxy. The IC card has a storage means having a proxy biological information storage storing the biological information of the proxy in a state that it is provided with digital signature, a private key storage storing a private key to be used for providing the digital signature, and a public key certificate storage storing the public key certificate of a public key to be used in authenticating the biological information of the proxy provided with the digital signature by the private key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
