PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder lock which is small in size, low in cost, and employs a key that specifies a key code, based on locations on a single surface, wherein the cylinder lock can positively change its key code. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the cylinder lock, when the key code is changed, if the key is completely inserted into an inner cylinder 203, an edge 313a of a complete insertion confirmation plate 313 abuts on a slant surface of a nib portion of a key insertion portion 412 to depress the same, and therefore the complete insertion confirmation plate 313 is moved in a direction of an arrow 501. As a result, engagement between a recess 201e of an outer cylinder 201 and an edge 313b is canceled, so that the inner cylinder 203 is made rotatable. If the key is not completely inserted, the edge 313a of the complete insertion confirmation plate 313 is energized by a spring 314 for the complete insertion confirmation plate, and therefore the recess 201e of the outer cylinder 201 engages with the edge 313b of the complete insertion confirmation plate 313, and therefore rotation of the inner cylinder 203 is inhibited.
