PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide greening structure for wall surfaces so designed that wall surfaces of a building, a fence, a retaining wall and the like can be greened regardless of the height of the wall surfaces, and any portions to be greened can be changed according to weather and/or demand for design. SOLUTION: The greening structure for wall surfaces comprises the following: an upper part rail 1 set at a prescribed position of the wall surface of a building B in a lateral direction for example; a locking tool 4 laterally movable while being guided by the upper part guide rail 1; a lower part guide rail 2 set at the prescribed position of the wall surface in a lateral direction and also opposite to the upper part guide rail 1; a container 3 guided by the lower part guide rail 2 to laterally move, where plants 6 are planted or a plant cultivation container is housed; and longitudinal members 5 connecting the locking tool 4 and the container 3.
