<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high content aqueous carbon black dispersion which is suitably applied to a high concentration aqueous ink for meeting quality improvement and its manufacturing method, further an aqueous ink prepared by using the dispersion, a recording method performed by using the ink, and a record. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous carbon black dispersion comprises at least (A) 12-30 wt.% surface-modified carbon black and (B) a nonionic surface active agent having an HLB value of 7-18 and an acetylene skeleton and has a surface tension at 25°C of 30-55 mN/m. The aqueous ink is prepared by using the aqueous carbon black dispersion, and the compounding amount of the surface modified carbon black is 4-12 wt.% based on the total ink amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
