PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further thin a back projection type display device. SOLUTION: A Fresnel lens 30 comprises an approximately rectangular plate like lens body 31 including a lens part 33 for aligning the direction of incident light as emission light, and an optical axis P1 disposed to pass a position out of the lens body 31 in a direction X along with a short side 31A of the lens body 31 passed through a center P2 of the lens body 31.
