PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a capacitor where internal resistance is low, self discharge characteristic and thermal resistance are excellent, and slit workability is excellent. SOLUTION: The separator for a capacitor consists of a wet unwoven fabric containing high polymer which has a melting point or thermal decomposition temperature of≥250°C or higher, and which is fibrillated to have weight-average fiber length of≤1μm.
