The additional tank (6) is made of a strong but soft plastic foil and can be accommodated in the space provided for the spare wheel. It is connected to the ventilation duct (2) of the main tank (1) with a quick coupling unit (3). When fuel is removed from the additional tank (6) its volume is reduced simultaneously until it is almost completely flat (7). A bypass with a ball valve (5) is then activated in order to avoid the creation of a vacuum in the main tank (1).
