<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print an image in a sufficient size corresponding to the number of images to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: The number of sheets of paper to be printed and the size thereof are designated via a dialogue box DBX1 for processing of printing. A lateral size and a longitudinal size of an image layout region corresponding to printing sizes of an image are determined such that multiple images to be printed are arranged in the designated number of sheets of paper. That is, the printing sizes of the image are determined from the number of images to be printed, the number of sheets of paper, and the sizes of the sheets.
