PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor of high reliability positively fixing and insulating a connection part from the circumference using a cover formed in tube shape by winding an inexpensive insulating plastic sheet a plurality of times. SOLUTION: This electric compressor 10 has an electric element 14 and a compression element 18 enclosed in a sealed container 12, and connects lead wires 1 connected to a terminal 20 mounted to the sealed container 12 and connected to an external power source, to motor leader lines 2 connected to a stator coil 28 of the electric element 14, through connection parts 3 to supply electricity to the electric element 14. The connection part 3 is wrapped in the cover 4 formed in tube shape by winding the insulating plastic sheet the plurality of times and welded at a predetermined part at one end. The lead wire 1 is inserted on the opposite side to the welded side of the cover 4, and the motor leader line 2 is inserted in close contact and fixed to the welded side of the cover 4.
