PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow guard device with high workability capable of safely and quickly carrying out mounting work of the snow guard device constructed on a Tate-hirabuki (vertically flat roofing) roof. SOLUTION: A collar edge section is formed by inwardly bending an upper side section and both right and left sides of a slat 1, and a collar edge section bent outwardly is formed in a lower side section 2. One holding plate 5 fixed 7 to the basic end section 6 is provided to one side section of the slat. Another holding plate 14 inserted and stopped in an inclined hole 16 bored in the basic end section 15 is provided to the other side section of the slat opposed to the holding plate. Screws 12 and 12 are respectively provided between the front side section and the rear side section of both the holding plates. The basic end section of each screw is fixed to the one holding plate section, and a female screw 13 is put on the outside of the other holding plate in the other end section of the screw. A Tate-hirabuki (vertically flat roofing) roof part is fitted and fixed in the intermediate section of the positionally-movable other holding plate and the one holding plate.
