The barrier for parking places to prevent or allow access consists of a spring loaded post (1) which can pivot at its base from the horizontal to the vertical. The post is swung upwards by an electrically operated hydraulic or pneumatic piston, and returns to the horizontal by its own dead weight. The upward movement of the barrier is activated by the weight of a private car on a ramp or by radio control. USE/ADVANTAGE - The parking place is secured from two directions against unauthorised use.
