<p>The sealed bearing assembly (1), comprising an outer bearing ring (13) with a spherical outer surface fixed to a housing (3), at least one concentric inner bearing ring (11, 12) fixed to an axial sleeve (10) on a flange (2) and balls (14, 15), incorporates a friction seal (6) engaging with the outer spherical surface (51) of a curved ring (5). The centre (C5) of the sphere containing the ring's outer surface coincides with the centre (C13) of the sphere containing the outer surface (131) of the bearing's outer ring (13). The curved ring (5) is made from a non-oxidising alloy and preferably stainless steel.</p> |
