FIELD: wood-woking industry, in particular, devices for wood modification, mainly of its surface layer. ^ SUBSTANCE: the machine has a frame, rolling and clamping shafts, heating space, mixing heat exchanger with tube and adjusting gate on it, furnace and a smoke exhauster. The waste of forest processing is burnt out in the furnace. Flue gases under the action of the smoke exhauster are fed to the mixing heat exchanger, where by dilestion of them with air by adjustment of the value of opening of the gate the temperature of the heat carrier is brought to the required value of heating of the rolling shaft, the largest portion of whose surface is in the heating vessel, which is the inner space of the frame. The surface of the rolling shaft inside the heating space is directly flown around by the heat carrier. The heat carrier used up by the smoke exhauster is either ejected into the atmosphere, or fed to the drier for drying of lumber or fuel for the machine furnace. Gases formed in the point of contact of the processed blank with the heated surface of the rolling shaft are sucked off by the same smoke exhauster through the clearances between the heating space and the rolling shaft providing comfort conditions of work for the workers in modification of wood. ^ EFFECT: simplified structure makes it possible to change the rolling shaft heating temperature within a wide range, use it as fuel.
