FIELD: flour-and-cereals industry; treatment of buckwheat seeds at buckwheat plants. ^ SUBSTANCE: buckwheat is moistened with water at forming vacuum under residual pressure of 0.02-0.04 Mpa at delivery of water for 10-60 s. Then buckwheat seeds are subjected to softening continued for 4-6 h and subsequent drying. ^ EFFECT: reduced power requirements; increased yield of product.
