<p>A carton for cylindrical items, e.g. cylindrical cans (16) has the carton stood upright and a tear strip removed from the bottom edge to form a dispensing opening (2) through which the cans are removed singly. To prevent uncontrolled loss of the items a raised threshold strip (4) is applied to the inside of the carton during manufacture, or during the assembly of the carton. The threshold strip can be a simple bead of hot applied glue.</p> |
