<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mobile terminal device which is capable of realizing a newly determined operation without being directly mounted on the body and without performing any particular key operation and of also comparatively easily instructing an analog amount. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 11 comprises an acceleration sensor 18 and a table (acceleration/operation correspondence storage means) wherein a key operation of an input section 14 and a function to be realized in place thereof are made to correspond when an acceleration is detected by the sensor 18.
