摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous material equipped with a photocatalyst which can satisfactorily improve the performance for adsorbing harmful substances by fine pores and can enhance the performance and effect for removing the harmful substances while maintaining the performance for decomposing the harmful substances with a photocatalyst such as a titanium oxide (TiO<SB>2</SB>), and furthermore, a method of manufacturing the porous material equipped with photocatalyst by which the titanium oxide (TiO<SB>2</SB>) being a phtocatalyst or the like can be loaded on the surface of a porous material even at a low baking temperature. SOLUTION: The porous material has many fine pores in its surface and is equipped with the photocatalyst in the surface, and it carries the phtocatalyst dispersedly on its surface without closing the fine pores of the porous material, and also, by the method of manufacturing the porous material equipped with photocatalyst, a solution containing a precursor of the photocatalyst is brought into contact with the surface of the porous material, then the porous material is heat-treated at a certain temperature.
