PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo decoder capable of enhancing the transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: The turbo decoder 104 applies turbo decoding to a turbo code sequence that is transmitted to the turbo decoder 104. An error detection section 105 applies error detection to a result of turbo decoding by the turbo decoder 104. Then the turbo decoder 104 reflects the result of error detection by the error detection section 105 on turbo decoding applied to a retransmitted turbo code sequence on the occurrence of retransmission of the transmitted turbo code sequence.
