PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material for a wall for improving joint processing accuracy and working efficiency. SOLUTION: A backing putty painting process and a removing process are facilitated by aligning a line for connecting the uppermost part of a groove 15 formed when mutually joining boards with a tangent of its curve, by constituting so that a cross-sectional shape of an edge part 10 of a gypsum board 11 forms the curve. Since a wall surface of the groove formed in a joining part of the gypsum board is an upward projecting curved surface, a quantity of putty required for joint processing is reduced more as compared with a conventional V-shaped groove.
