<p>A process for producing foam components made of polystyrol, comprises preparing a mono- or polyhedric foam member (10) from a foamed block, placing a heating conducting film (15) on the block, pressing, heating the film and the foam below it above its softening point, and compressing. Once the required compression has been applied, pressure is removed and the film is cooled. Cooling lasts at least one second, and the film consists of aluminium or copper and is applied to a thin non-metallic carrier (2b), e.g. paper. The heat conducting film can consist of polyethylene. The film is 10-100 mu m thick. The arrangement used to produce the components includes an advancing line (13), a work area (14), and a stamper.</p> |
