PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive laminated material for a paper container with excellent embossing workability, heat resistance, water resistance, weatherability, pollution resistance, environmental safety, a laminated material to be embossed for an embossed paper container, a method for manufacturing these materials and a paper container using the laminated material to be embossed. SOLUTION: The inexpensive laminated material for the paper container with excellent embossing workability, heat resistance, water resistance, weatherability, pollution resistance, environmental safety can be obtained by laminating a polyester film 1 composed of at least a polybutylene terephthalate as an essential component and a paper sheet 2. In addition, the paper container which shows not only an excellent exhibit effect such as designability, texture or hand feeling but also excellent holding fitness by hand and engraved braille moldability, can be obtained by using the laminated material worked by embossing the laminated material for the paper container.
