摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas engine having good response to sudden composition change of fuel gas with a gas fuel supply mechanism performing flow rate control on a gas supply side and a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: This engine includes the gas fuel supply mechanism provided with a plurality of supply systems (1, Lg1; 2, Lg2) for supplying gas fuel of a plurality of types of different calorific power. The supply system (2, Lg2) of gas fuel of high calorific power is constructed as merging with an air supply system (3, La) and mixing gas fuel of high calorific power with air. When type or composition of gas fuel is changed, mixing ratio of gas fuel of high calorific power and air is determined to make air fuel ratio determined by air quantity equivalent to gas fuel quantity and air fuel ratio for controlling air charging pressure constant roughly the same.
