An emergency first air case for use by professionals or lay persons is of box or case-format, manufactured in plastic, steel, aluminium or stainless steel. The case has a hinged access hatch to facilitate rapid extraction of an emergency item. On opening the case emits a sound or a flashing light. The case also incorporates a battery power supply for e.g. a defibrillator.
